sunrise on the tracks

Early daylight is my enemy and i fight it by closing my eyes to defend against this bright evil in the morning. Unfortunately, I had to get up and even had the will to take a camera with me. So there we go, a sunrise picture. Another milestone reached in my photography todo list :-)) couldn't make up my mind between color and mono though :)

I'm partial to golden tones in photography i've realised, from looking at my own, so I go with the colour one.

@lisa v: good choice, milady :-) without kidding, it's so cool to hear people giving their opinion about a picture. I just realize that when they're presented with multiple choices, one is more inclined to use arguments to justify his/her choice instead of merely indicating that they like/dislike the picture. hmm..I should do this more often :-) Thanks, Lisa!

eh bien, une photo géniale...le parallélisme est superbe, l'autre côté de la médaille, non seulement j'aime les deux versions, mais j'adore quelles soient présentées ensemble, Bravo!

Version noir et blanc pour moi... plus pure... mais les deux ensemble font "bon ménage" ! :-)

@zOOm: ça me fait plaisir, Florence! Si c'était vraiment nécessaire de choisir, j'avais pris la version mono pour exactement la raison laquelle tu indiques. Heureusement, PS a l'aide :-)

WOW I like it. This diptic would fit very nicely printed and hanged in a wall. Very well done. The simmetric pictures, one in BW and the other coloured, but almost sepia make a fantastic compo. Great great work

I like the warm glow of the image on the left also, you get the feel of the warm morning sun... glad you managed to face the day with your camera to get this amazing shot! ;o)

the indecision has made this photo thou. love the mirror image presentation.

the colour one would have more contxt since u hate mornings and this was the morning shot u got to make up for getting up in the morning.

the b/w one shows the harshness of the cold metal and brings out the patten better.
